My research focuses on the neural and phenomenological correlates of the sense of self, its dissolution through meditation, and the neural mechanisms which maintain its integrity through mortality denial. Other research interests include the impact of ayahuasca on death processing, transformational aspects of sleep paralysis, and micro-phenomenology.
