My lab’s goal is to reveal how neural circuits implement the computations needed for social communication. We aim to understand how multisensory signals are integrated with changing internal needs to drive adaptive and dynamics social decisions. To this aim we use a mix of experimental and theoretical approaches, including behavioral quantification of social behaviors following environmental and neural perturbations, brain imaging using two-photon microscopy and neural circuits using the fly connectome.
